Are we right in assuming that the separate aluminium oil retaining ring which is to be fitted to the 40/50 clutch, is only temporary and that as soon as possible the flange will be Turned solid on the clutch ring. We recommend that the clutch rings should be made this way as the present method of bolting on the aluminium ring is expensive and likely to cause trouble due to oil leaks.

Another trouble is, that if the clutch pedal has the maximum movement, the clutch operating mechanism fouls the studs which hold on the aluminium ring.
