To BA. from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Copy to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} " " HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} " " E.O. 1/4239 EFC MAY 24 1921 RECEIVED E1/G23/5/21 X4239. RE "GOSHAWK II" SMALL LEC.1387. FOR CONTROLS. With reference to the model ball joint for Mr.Royce's inspection, would you kindly arrange to fix the ball into the lever end by means of the .200 parallel stem with drilled out end machine rivetted over as shewn on carburettor drawing Lec.1386, instead of the taper rivetted socket. It is intended that the rivetting operation should be performed with a rotating tool, which appears to be the method used by the Americans in dealing with these hollow rivets.
