REAR ROAD SPRINGS ON 8-EX. +8940a

The rear springs on 8-EX car have broken during the continuation of test after the 10,000 to 14,000 miles.

The near-side rear 2nd. and 3rd. leaves from top have broken close to forward spring clip i.e. 1.625" front of centre bolt.

The off-side 1st. and 2nd. leaves from top have broken close to forward spring clip, 1.625" front of centre bolt.

The 2nd. and 3rd. leaves from top have broken close to rear spring clip 1.75" and 2.00" rear of centre bolt.

There is a possibility of other leaves being cracked. These can be examined when springs are dismantled.
