W.A. Robotham Esq., Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited, D E R B Y. 8th April, 1932. Dear Robotham, I was so sorry to have to rush off to catch a train yesterday without seeing you again and without having an opportunity to thank you for the very excellent lunch which you gave me. As regards 14.m/m plugs; I am having two sets made up, one of which, from the rather limited experience we have, appears to be equal in performance to the K.1. which you are at present using, while the other has a considerably higher heat resistance. Naturally the plug with higher heat resistance will be less proof against oil and soot, but I think that you may find each of these types interesting and I shall be very interested indeed to have your criticism of them. I hope to be coming up to Derby as soon as the screens have been fitted to an engine, and I will discuss the matter of small plugs further with you then. With kind regards, Yours sincerely, C.
