Oval ground, split axially and circumferentially giving uniform flexibility on the whole length of fitting portion. Origin. The elimination of piston knocks. From the results of tests we consider it is quite safe to use these split type pistons until we have proved the Ram type piston. Road Test Report. See EP{G.
