Dipping Headlamps.

BJ24/EL.12.27

In discussing this matter at Derby recently, whilst the many advantages of the WW scheme were fully appreciated, we were not sure whether you fully realised that, so far as can be seen at present, the Sales officials are of opinion that dipping headlights are practically a thing of the past as being so much heavier and more expensive than the dipping reflector which is being so rapidly developed by the lamp makers and is likely to come into general use.

For this reason it may seem to you undesirable to spend much time or money in developing dipping head lamps further, as I know how extremely busy you are already with almost more than you can carry, and anything that can be reasonably dropped from your programme will be an advantage.

BJ.
