Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Bwg.{J. C. Bowring}8/KW. OUR REF. PW/EMH. August 14th. 1934. For the attention of J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} C. Bowering, Esq., Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd., Experimental Department, DERBY. Dear Sirs, We are in receipt of your favor of the 2nd. instant regarding the copper gaskets using our Patent Pressure Filled Joint Rings. We have supplied some of these gaskets to bus users, and our price for an A.E.C. 6-cylinder Diesel engine gasket is 48/-. We recently had an interview with the Managing Director of one of these concerns who told us in spite of the price of this gasket, it was a paying proposition. We imagine the price of a gasket such as you have sent us the drawings of would be approximately the same as the A.E.C. We should like the opportunity of supplying you with one of these as an experiment, as we feel sure you would find them satisfactory to adopt. Yours faithfully, FOR AND ON BEHALF OF WILLS PRESSURE FILLED JOINT RING, Ltd. Percy Wills. MANAGING DIRECTOR | ||
