RADIATOR TESTS.

We want you to prepare to make the following tests on 19-EX. car on Brooklands, Monday next.

75 M.P.H. Standard, all closed. Fan rubber belt choc-a-bloc. C.O. open. C.O. closed.
" " Improved fan (EFC. to supply).
" " Fan removed.
" " Fan replaced. Radiator shutters removed.
All Out. Standard, all closed.
" " Bonnet shutters open.
" " Fan removed.

Comparison of effect of gear ratios.

Measure maximum speed and temperature attained.

(a) 33 x 6.75 Fort tyres. 60 lbs/sq.in.
(b) 19 x 7 U.S. Cord tyres 40 lbs/sq.in.

75 M.P.H. Std. all closed condition. Retard ignition notch by notch until temperature starts to rise. Note degrees retard from normal advance.

Remove headlamps and spot lamp and see if any improvement.

Fit square tube radiator.

Tests of maximum temperature -

(a) 60 M.P.H. All closed. All shutters open.
(b) 75 M.P.H. All closed. All shutters open.
