Handwritten top left: Dealy File: Handwritten across middle: Directors Stamped: ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED RECEIVED 4 DEC 1908 DERBY CONFIDENTIAL. Mr DeLooze. As on the 10th. September, 1910, Barker's contract will be terminated, it seems to me that we ought to take into consideration as to whether we then intend to take up carriagebuilding. if so, we should be prepared with a certain number of bodies by the 10th. September, 1910. This means that these bodies should be commenced not later than June, 1910. This means that our stock of wood and machinery should be installed in May 1910. It seems to me, therefore, that the time has now arrived to ascertain what size of works will be necessary; what the works would cost, what the machinery would cost and what Capital would be represented by stores of timber and stock. When we have obtained these figures and considered ways and means, and if we are clear as to ways and means, drawings should be got out immediately. Please put this on the Agenda for the Board meeting on the 11th. inst. C.J. Handwritten bottom left: original handed to Mr Johnson D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} 30/12/08 | ||
