Regarding the question of Tungsten points, they promised us a selection of these, suitable for fixing on our chassis and aero ignitions. Mr. Kennington stated that it was no use getting Tungsten from anywhere and expecting it to be right, but that you must get the right thing, and this can only be obtained in this country from the B.T.H. who represent the General Electric Company of America. In this connection we might state that we had some points removed from some Remy contact breakers and asked Mr. Hall to analise them, He gave,, as the approximate analysis of these Remy points, 75% gold and 25% platinum. He stated that the tests were difficult owing to the small quantity of alloy available. Other remarks contained in his report were as follows:-

"These points were not attacked by acids, and submitted to treatment only after being attacked by aluminium. They appear to be a platinum gold alloy with traces of the rarer metals as impurities".
