6-Goshawk-II.

X.4228 - CARBURETTER.

6-Goshawk-II engine owing to its present compression naturally runs better slowly, and seems very satisfactory but two little points require attention:-
(1) The needle valve does not seem quite right and this has been the case with all 3 carbs. which I have used. This results in a slow overflowing drip.
(2) The ignition seems to require a somewhat increased range of control if we desire to be able to start the engine on the ignition control. No.6. made contact which could not be broken on nearly every occasion that I have tried it. Perhaps the ignition is set unnecessarily late. R.{Sir Henry Royce} sends particulars for increased movement.
