As regards the Sunbeam. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn{Mr Robinson}'s parents own a modern 20 HP. Sunbeam. We know thoroughly the characteristics of that steering. Referring to the Panhard. We will endeavour to arrange a trial run. We attach reports which give reasons why comparisons of steerings on different cars have got to be very carefully made in order to be of any value. As regards comparisons made with the RR. steering and the steering of other makes of car, we should like to point out that when Mr. Filson Young spent a week at the Works, he went backwards and forwards to Manchester on a Phantom car fitted with a light sports body and he was most enthusiastic over the controllability of the car. In his opinion the steering and brakes were perfect. This we attribute to the fact that it was a short chassis, low centre of gravity, lighter car, and well damped springs.
