Dear Sirs,

Thank you for your letter of January 27th. We are worried that you are suggesting synthetic rubber packings before seal size 225116 which we have just ordered. We have recently tried "Gaco" material for this particular application and it has not been a success. For this reason we wish to turn to chrome leather which is a familiar material to us.

The maximum oil temperature to which this seal will be subjected is about 85°C.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
