Proposal to alter the starter gear ratio on the Large Bore 20/25 and Bentley engines to address a whistling noise.

There is one item on the specification of the above we should like to alter, namely the starter gear ratio. We do not wish to perpetuate thw Bentley ratio on the 25 HP. owing to the constant source of complaints about the whistling noise. Therefore, we suggest that on both these engines we shall have 14 teeth on the starter pinion, and 118 teeth on the flywheel in addition to the reduction gear in the starter motor.
