COPY OF LETTER RECEIVED FROM:- THE DUNLOP RUBBER CO, LTD., ASTON CROSS, BIRMINGHAM. To- Messrs Rolls Royce Ltd., Nightingale Road, Osmaston Road, DERBY. October 15th. 1921. Dear Sirs, PNEUMATIC MOTOR TYRES. Loads and Inflation Pressures. Referring to our letter of the 30th ulto. and copy of Booklet "Dunlop Tyres for 1921-22" accompanying same. On pages 17 and 18 of the Booklet are tables giving particulars of maximum loads at given pressures for all types and sizes of tyres. We have been asked to what extent the pressures given may be adjusted according to variation in load, and have pleasure in enclosing herewith a leaflet which gives these particulars. We should here like to point out that it is a matter of the greatest importance that tyres of the correct sectional area for a given weight should be fitted to all cars, so that the carrying capacity of the tyre shall be up to and in accordance with the maximum load that will be imposed upon it, as only by following this rule is it possible to obtain the proper results. We are, Yours faithfully, THE DUNLOP RUBBER CO. LIMITED. Enclo. N. B. 3925 (150-10-21) 1M. H & S Ltd (L. 80) | ||
