RE: FB.2583 - BUMPER STUDS FOR BENTLEY CHASSIS.

Referring to Sr./VA.4/ET.31.7.36. we would like you to fit two sets of the studs to chassis which have previously given trouble with the original form of stud, the other sets would then be held against replacements where you had failure of the existing type.

The object we have in view is to get the studs running under the worst conditions, which are certainly achieved best in France under high speed conditions, at the same time we wish you to have some improved studs in the event of failure of the existing type.

The reason for producing the stud this way is to remove the reduced section where the piece has been threaded to the ends where bending stresses are not applied to the stud.
