RE. CLUTCH.

The clutch on this car although it is heavy to disengage is on the point of slipping. It is only necessary to rest the foot on the pedal and apply a light pressure and the engine immediately starts to race away. Is it not a question of not having sufficient area of clutch surface that is the chief trouble with the 25 HP. It was mentioned to me on my visit to Ferodo that the Rolls had the smallest clutch area of fabric than any other firm they supplied. It would be interesting to try a clutch with a larger area of fabric maintaining our present standard loading.

RE.-FRONT SHOCK DAMPERS.

We should be interested to know whether you propose to move the filter casing. We have packed the buffer so as to give .250" less clearance than the filter clearance, yet we are still fouling the side steering tube. The rolled eye front springs fitted on this car are too weak and are causing excessive bumping on the front.

RE. WAKEFIELD XXL OIL.

We have received the 5 gallon drum of this oil. Will you please let us know whether, from your tests, it would be advisable to use it here.
