Regarding the H.T. batteries, the criticisms which I have heard about these have been adverse in every case. The Secretary of our Radio Club, Mr. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Tawn, who manages the Clive Electrical Co. here in Derby, said that he negotiated for some of these, but was told that they were not intended to work more than two valves. He told me that he promptly sent them back without opening them for this reason.

I understood that he had had some previous ones and had been very dissatisfied with broken and leaky pots. His general impression of these batteries now is extremely bad, though I have told him the facts of the case.

Is it a fact that you do not recommend them for more than two valves ? I see no reason why you should, as they are easily capable of the ordinary discharge required.

Personally, I think a big advantage will be lost in the new type in not being able to use the oil, but I suppose it is a question of a cheaper article.

Yours sincerely,

MADE IN CROXLEY
