Y1245 H.F.Hamilton, Hotel de France, Chateauroux, Indre, France. c. to GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}19/MJ.2.11.36. Attached copy of note I have written to Sr. which is self explanatory. The situation is that Sr. is running one of his Trials cars on White Metal main bearings so that we can get a figure of merit for these against the Hall's metal which has not given altogether satisfactory results. We should like you to fix up a thermometer on Sr's. car and then if he requires it co-operate with him to put in mileage on it. If Sr. wants assistance in driving the Trials car we shall get some definite arrangement as to how things are to be run before you start on the job.
