To Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}/Ms. from EFC. C. Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} X 1581 EFC1/AT17.11.20. X.1581.HIGH TENSION TRANSFORMER. With reference to the letter of Messrs. Watson & Sons Of Sunic House, Parker Street, Kingsway, London, submitted to us by you, concerning High Tension Transformer for Insulation testing, our answer to the points they raise are as follows:- Samples of insulation will be tested for breakdown voltage particulars and e ach test, in the ordinary way, will only last for a few minutes. The surface area of samples under tests would be at most only a few square inches. Damp samples allowing a considerable leakage of current will be tested. Our frequency on the Works has been altered to 50 instead of 40. We would like the Transformer to be suitable for either frequency (which could be easily arranged) as we may at any time use the transformer elsewhere on the lower frequency. EFC. | ||
