5-B-IV.

There are two schemes which have been issued recently which we are particularly anxious to get on to 5-B-IV. One is the correct cantilever pedal design to go with the rubber engine mounting, N.Sch.4156. We understand that this is at present being detailed. The other is the scheme for front axle control, N.Sch.4178. This latter scheme we consider most urgent because it gets over the trouble of buckled spring leaves which we have recently had, and also enables us to fit lower rating springs to the front of the Bentley, which we badly want to do to reduce jellying.

Could you make two sets of experimental pieces from the scheme drawing, so that we can get them on test with a minimum of delay.
