Re Wraith for your Father-in-law, Mr.Thompson.

I note that he was not able to get along on Thursday, and I can quite believe it.
We got very badly blitzed on Wednesday night. These premises are in a shocking state, the back part being obliterated.
Fortunately, however, we were able to save the car you saw in the front Showroom and it is now at Hythe Road.

At the same time we had a bomb outside Lillie Hall which has caused a good deal of additional damage, and Barclays firm,- Young of Bromley,-was burnt out. The B-V that he had there, that we have corresponded about, is destroyed as a motorcar.
We are going to try and retrieve some of the bits of the chassis.

I note you are sending Devereux's car to Park Wards on ~~Monday next~~ Wednesday for various things to be done, and I will give them instructions accordingly.

Regarding Neville Rollason, we will certainly bear him in mind, and we can arrange for him to try a B-V for the long week-end, if you will let me know when.
There seems little prospect of his getting a car for his own use, however, although, as you say, we want to keep their good-will.

C.
