To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 1110 Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/AP.28.8.37 LONG CLUTCH PLATES Attached is the correspondence from the Long Manufacturing Division. After paying them about 260$ for four clutch plates, we received a severe shock when we were asked to pay 386$ for a further six. The correspondence is self-explanatory. I suppose it must be considered money well spent as it has solved the Ph.III. clutch problem. It is annoying, however, to think that Borg & Beck, England, are getting the benefit of this money of ours. I think there is no alternative but to pay it. Do you agree.?
