X6032 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.3/AD. March 22nd, 1932. Messrs. Joseph Lucas Ltd. Well St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} Birmingham. Dear Sirs, Lucas "Alto" horn type HF.{H. W. Frost - Coachwork Inspector}722. We have now two of these horns on experimental test and we should be glad if you can forward us the following information :- (1) How long would you expect the horn to function without attention? This answer could be given in mileage. (2) How long a guarantee could you give us with these horns? So far we are highly satisfied with the samples we have on test but consider that the tone would be more pleasing and perhaps still more distinctive if it was raised a trifle - say a semitone. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
