5th June, 1935.

Messrs. S. Smith & Sons (M.A.) Ltd.,
Cricklewood Works,
London, N.W.2.

For the attention of Mr. Bailey.

Dear Sirs,

Thank you for your two letters
G.3.EHB/KW.4.6.35.

We have asked our tester in France to let us have the Bracket and Flex in question, so that you can inspect them. Incidentally the flex did not fail of its own accord, we therefore do not query this failure. This the writer explained to Mr. Nichols during the 'phone conversation of yesterday.

With regard to the "Jackall" fluid you supplied, according to our Order Office an official order No.83577 was sent to you on 17.5.35, and we trust you will be able to trace this.

The two flexes you supplied, and for which we thank you, have this day been sent to France.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
