With reference to your memo Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}/W5/R10.12.19. referring to Jacks we consider that both the Jacks submitted to us by Messrs. Lake Elliott are very much inferior to the Michelin Jacks. If the Michelin Jacks can be obtained, we would recommend them in preference to any others. If it is a case of obtaining some sort of Hack to carry on with until we can obtainthe Michelin, of the two Jacks submitted to us by Messrs. Lake and Elliott, the No 8 is the most suitable.

We should be pleased to hear from you what promise you can obtain from Michelin's as regards delivery of Jacks.
