This trouble on Ph.II is caused by the sliding joint not working, and is definitely cured by modifying the sliding joint as per Depot Sheet Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}199 and fitting an additional stay to the rear silencer as per Depot Sheet No.Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}218.

The majority of these are top over-oiling and definitely cured by restricting the oil flow at the valve end of the rockers. See Depot Sheet Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}147, Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}174 and Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}176.
