To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to BJ. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Y/7230 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M5.5.27. HEAT SHIELD FOR EAC. 7. X.7230 SILENCER. X.3908 We thank you for your sch.915., and although we agree that it would clear the various obstructions, we think the brackets should be flexible in the longitudinal direction to allow for expansion. We therefore suggest on N.sch.2412., (herewith) that they should be fastened to the forged flange piece itself, suitable platforms being formed on this either in the forging or by welding. We think the strip brackets bent out of the square should not present any difficulty. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
