Alan V.{VIENNA} Nutt, Esq.,
St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} James's Chambers,
Derby.

Dear Mr. Nutt,

Re. the late P.V.C. Halliwell.

(1) I enclose you herewith Loan Receipt Book, reference Ledger C.170, Folio 163 of the Provident Association of London Limited, Provident House, 246, Bishopsgate, London, E.C.2, with reference to an insurance of £500 under Policy No. MH{M. Huckerby}/11113. It would appear that this is a policy which Mr. Halliwell must have taken out and presumably he borrowed £500 towards paying for his house, and presumably the terms of the policy would be what appears to be usual in such cases - that on the death of the borrower the mortgage is automatically paid up by the amount of the Life Assurance which is taken out.

(2) Will you kindly get into communication with the Provident Association of London Limited, advise them of the death of Mr. Halliwell and tell them that you will, in accordance with Rule 11, send Registrar's Certificate of death as soon as you receive it.

(3) I have asked Mr. Halliwell's father to send me a copy of the Registrar's certificate immediately after the funeral and as soon as I receive it I will let you have it, but I consider the important part at the present time is to notify the Association of Mr. Halliwell's death.

(Contd)
