Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}9/MJ12.2.36 -------- We note you think the best means of correcting bad cases on existing cars is to fit the Borg & Beck clutch. We presume the next step would be to issue a standardisation sheet and instruct Depots. You do not reply to the query we made regarding paragraph 2 of Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/KW31.1.36, wherein it was mentioned that a standardisation sheet was completed on the 30th October for a clutch having several times the life of the one now giving trouble,"but at the time Sales thought it was not so smooth on the take-up and turned it down." We have looked through our file and cannot find that we ever turned this down; on the contrary we do find the attached two memos. on this matter. C. Enc.
