SECRET & CONFIDENTIAL. X8830 9-0 28/7 Copies to - [illegible] Sc1/HW/27.7.26. Re: Bodies. Your R1/M23.7.26. was forwarded to B.J. who, as you are doubtless aware, is away this week. he has asked me to reply. Hooper's have agreed to bear 50% of the cost of one body for experimental use and 66 2/3% of a second. These were very much better terms than we could obtain anywhere else. Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} spent the greater part of yesterday with Hooper's draughtsmen and will doubtless report result to you in due course. As soon as all details have been finally settled, arrangements can be made for the orders to be placed and the suggestion is, that Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} should superintend the construction and completion so as to make sure that everything is in accordance with your wishes.
