8-Cylinder Buick - Carburetter.

We have been investigating the carburetter on the Buick. This is interesting to us because we know carburetter development is exceedingly difficult and we want to have something available for the Wraith in case we have difficulties with our own design.

We are surprised at the low depression at which the American carburetters will now work and at the same time give snap opening up. Actually on the road where the exhaust system reduces the power of the engine, we only measured 1 1/4" depression at 80 m.p.h. as will be seen from the attached report. This really means that we can expect to gain very little from the expanding carburetter.

We have ordered one of the Marvel carburetters from America.
