C O P Y. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/ML. 9a for reply See Cdr.{W. J. Chandler - Chief Clerk} Willis 22.8.40. Commander Robertson, R.N. Empire Hotel, B A T H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Dear Commander Robertson, I am not quite clear whether you wanted the weight of the raw materials or the weight of the actual finished part, with regard to the gun. I send you herewith, however, a list of the raw material required to produce one of the guns, less the mounting. It has been agreed that Vibrac may be replaced by Admiralty steel, specification S.38, heat-treated to give a minimum of 50 tons per square inch yield (OO). Yours sincerely, | ||
