Phantom III Chassis - Flywheel and Clutch. Oilite Bush - G.83571. Referring to BY/SS.{S. Smith}4/J.6.5.36, we are awaiting an experimental report as regards the success of the floating type of oillite bush. In the meanwhile we understand that in the case of the bush which seized, the final sizeing mandril had not been passed through this bush after pressing into the clutch plate sleeve, and when this is done, there is every reason to suppose that the original scheme of a pressed in bush will be satisfactory. So that we agree to ordering bushes to the original arrangement until more definite information as to the floating bush is available. It appears also that the floating scheme may mean modifications to the diameter of the shaft which may be difficult to obtain on existing pieces, so there is another reason for wishing to adhere to the original arrangement.
