EXPERIMENTAL

25 ft of Egyptian Tape (.007) x 3/8" wide will be required on the Frame and Field Winding with 5 1/2 turns per coil.

32 ft of the same tape will be required on the Frame and Field Winding with 7 1/2 turns per coil.

It will be noted that we call for all the Brass and Delta Metal details which are "live" to be tinned, we propose doing this on all "Goshawk" II Electrical Units with a view to preventing corrosion, on production this will be done by electro tinning which of course gives a much thinner and smoother coating.

If the Frame and Field Winding with 7 1/2 turns per coil is standardised then it is probable that we shall scallop out the spigots of both Commutator and Driving End Brackets to give more clearance between the Spigots and the Field Coils, this will not be necessary if the 5 1/2 turns is used.

Regarding the Terminal Block D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} 50263 will Mr. Brock when making the Dies for this moulding please bear in mind that the Terminal Stud D.50261 may have the .750 length of shank reduced in length, we do not know at present what type of terminal will be used and the length given is therefore approximate.

Will Ms. when ordering the Copper Wire for the Field Coils please note that the Works prefer to receive this wire on bobbins of large diameter, rather than in straight pieces of a length required for winding one coil.
