BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Bn.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} c. to OY. c. to AJL. X 3895. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Bn.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington}7/MJ.10.7.30. AMERICAN WHEELS AND TYRES. With reference to BY/Mtn.15/N.9.7.30., we recommend the following procedure :- (A) 20" wheels and tyres. We have run a set of 20" wheels and tyres on 24-EX. in France and they are considerably worn. Therefore, we recommend that we keep these six tyres which will at any rate enable us to make some use of the 12" wheels for 20", which apparently we shall have to keep as it is not worth while converting them. (B) 19" Wheels and Tyres. Since we have got to keep a set of wheels, we recommend that we keep one set of tyres. They may be useful to confirm the results of customers who insist on fitting this size of wheel to their Phantom ll cars in America. We are therefore sending into the Stores, for return to America - one set of Royal Cord Tyres for 20" rims, and one set of special tyres for 19" rims. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Bn.{W.O.
