No.30 Test House.

We have thoroughly tested the water cooled exhaust manifold supplied for one engine in the above test house. This arrangement is most satisfactory.

We would now like the second bed rigged up in the same way, and to make the job still more efficient the two following points should be noted.

(1) The flexible joint between the manifold and downtake should be left adjustable, and not welded up finally, until its length has been decided by setting up in position.

(2) The cast iron pipes in the tenches should be made more secure, to prevent coming out of alignment etc.

It would be an advantage if this job could be put in hand as soon as possible, as the bed to which it will be fitted is to be overhauled.
