EXPERIMENTAL 40/50 CARS.

We have at present in the Experimental Dept. four Phantom II cars (22-EX, 20-EX, 25-EX, 19EX.) We consider that we can release one of them without in any way curtailing the development of this car. As regards the bodies on these cars, 19-EX, 20-EX, and 25-EX. are in quite good condition; 22-EX, is in very bad condition and would be a costly job to put in order, even then it would be out of date.

As regards the chassis we consider that the one we require least is the left hand chassis 25-EX. The present position of the left hand car does not warrant running an experimental left hand car. If at any future date the left hand car question should be revived, then we say that a new chassis would be necessary; the present left hand car is considerably out of date as compared with the present production Right hand Phantom II.

Our suggestion is therefore that we scrap the body at present on 22-EX, and replace it by the body at present on 25-EX. The chassis 25-EX., is in good condition and has very few experimental parts on it, it needs very little money spending on it to put it in a saleable condition. The chassis therefore, in our opinion should be stored pending a possible enquiry for a left hand chassis.
