Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RH.{R. Hollingworth}3/17.11.40. INDUCTION PIPES FOR SINGLE S.U. CARBURETTORS. Attached is a print of an induction pipe which S.U. recommend for their horizontal carburettors, particularly in cases where there is not a great deal of room between the ports at which the mixture enters and where a single carburettor feeds a 6-cylinder engine, the result being the sudden reversals of flow which cause the mixture to deposit in the hot spot areas. We consider that this type of pipe is worth trying on the thumper 4-cylinder engine. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
