1204. To Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/ED.{J. L. Edwards} [ED{J. L. Edwards} is struck through] from Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} c. to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer} Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}/JH.7.5.40. [Handwritten initials 'FJH{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}' across the reference line] In order that all people concerned may be given a chance to give attention to items of design, we would be glad if you would send any instructions which call for a new design to the Design Office, and not direct to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH. This gives the designer a chance to study the issue, to produce any designs needed, or to instruct Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH. if he considers the work you require can be carried out satisfactory without a scheme from him. Will you please inform your assistant. [Handwritten tick mark] Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
