8-EX CAR.

Before this car leaves for the 10,000 miles test, the following further modifications should be carried out :-

1. Connecting rod to be fitted which has the loose bearings with the mild steel shells.

2. Petrol tank with the latest modifications.

3. Steel trunnion in steering box in place of bronze. We ought at the same time to fit a freer nut if poss.

4. Plain thrusts should be used on both front axle pivots. At present we believe one of them is a ball thrust.
