Re Patent. Improvements in & relating to Brake Mechanism.

With reference to Patent for equalising brakes, do you think it is worth while to add to this, one of somewhat similar scheme which we think of, using in conjunction with Epicyclic Gearing, when hydraulically operated.

It has the same fixed centres B and B1.

Each shoe is separately operated by separate hydraulic cylinder.

It is intended by these means to have a very minimum of mechanism and adjustments.

If it is not quite clear, I should be glad if you would send the enclosed sketch back to me.

You will notice that the cylinder at one side pulls up, while that on the other side pushes down.

The oil is admitted to each cylinder by a common pipe, and the action is therefore quite equalised.
