(17) We also suggest that you will wish to check up the jig in the matter of the bonnet strip running between the radiator and the dash, as this cannot be correct. However, we feel that the fact that the wings did not match up with this when put on the chassis, was due to proper running boards having been sent to Derby before the wings were made, which caused the wings to be built with their rear end too near in to the chassis frame.

(18) The depth of the outside valance on the front wing at the rear was not the same as the depth of the front edge of the step-board and the sweep of the front wing did not blend with the sweep of the step-board.

(19) The Capping at the base of the screen enclosing the screen wiper boxes, etc., is rather heavy and only just clears the steering wheel. On future bodies we should endeavour to lighten up this feature. We can see no reason why it should be any heavier in design from that on use on Bentley bodies.

We confirm that we have asked you today by telephone to send to Derby for the attention of Mr. F.{Mr Friese} Dodd, Experimental Department, six "pull-push" type instrument board switches.

It is not a serious matter, but we think you ought to know that the hole in the wooden board for the red warning light did not come opposite the centre of the light itself. It was about ¼" too high and no bevel had been put on it.
