BENTLEY 111 - REVISED FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING AND BOTTOM WATER CONNECTION TO RADIATOR (TO SUIT REVISED CHASSIS FRAME TO PD.76).

Please receive herewith E.CD.514 Revised High Front Engine Mounting and Water Connections - Bentley 111.

The general shape of the engine support member and also the brackets attached to the chassis frame are altered to suit the revised shape of chassis frame shown on PD.76. We have called for a slight alteration to the distance piece in the chassis frame for the shock dampers, to suit the spacing of the bolts for the engine support brackets. The oil pipe from pump to relief valves is altered and now passes below the engine support member; this pipe has been made suitable for use on both the Bentley 111 and the Wraith 111 engines.

A new moulded type rubber connection to radiator bottom tank, similar to the one used for Wraith 111 is shown, with an extra branch to receive the water pipe from thermostat, the pipe from thermostat is also altered to suit.

The moulded rubber bend enables straight pipes to be used both in the radiator bottom tank and also between the moulded bend and the engine, the remainder of the pipe to water pump is shown on design E.CD.468.
