Fitting an altered camshaft to a 20/25HP chassis to meet speed requirements and a delivery deadline.

- 2 - Mxll/T29.9.31. way clear to agreeing to the use of this camshaft. It would seem however that the sensible thing to do is to fit this altered angled camshaft as without it, it does not seem likely that we shall attain the speed required. The Standard 20/25HP. Chassis under similar conditions, i.e. same road and standard test body will do 61.5 m.p.h. We appreciate that this chassis is going to be fitted with a special stream line body but we should not expect that this will increase the maximum speed more than 2½ to 3 miles per hour. The matter is urgent as we are being pressed for delivery and have given a provisional promise to have it ready for delivery by Wednesday October 7th. | ||
