GRY{Shadwell Grylls}

Dear Sirs,

We should like to thank you for the interview Mr. Grills and Mr. Hardy accorded Mr. Bishop, our Works Manager, and Mr. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Hartley-Taylor, our Technical Officer, when they were introduced to you by Mr. C. W. Craven, our Representative.

We are extremely obliged for the information Mr. Grills and Mr. Hardy gave us regarding Vibration Damper Lining, and we believe that following a few experiments, we shall be able to submit a fabric which will meet your requirements.

Might we ask if you would let us have, at an early convenience, the drawing of the part in question, and, if possible, one incorporating a view of the plates which was suggested by Mr. Grills.

We would confirm the suggestion made that you might consider the practicability of using nickel chrome cast iron face on the servo motor actuating mechanism for which we have submitted 4 types of friction linings. We quite appreciate the difficulties involved in manufacture, but would suggest that if possible a process similar to the 'Centrifuse' process be adopted - that is a steel plate faced with cast iron. This, from our experience, will give slightly better friction
