RE LAMPS FOR 18-EX. X.7800 X.4555

There would appear to be little hope of getting the specially operated mechanical Lucas Dipping P.100 lamps in time for Mr. Royce's car. We wish Derby to go ahead and fit two fixed P.100 lamps, and a central lamp Stephen Grebel 180 mm. All lamps to be black finished.

A design for this was sent to you this weekend. See N.scheme 2761-2.

Would Sales see that Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} has these three lamps in time to have them on the car before it comes to W.W. in a week's time.

This memo cancels our previous instructions given in EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}3/27.10.28. detailing the accessories for this car.

So far we have had no news of the special streamline wing-lamps which were ordered for this car. We suggest that Sales should approach the Lucas people at Birmingham. If they are not obtainable we would like you to supply Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} with a set of the Chrysler type wing lamps. The rear glass in each lamp should be obscured by painting inside with black paint.
