R.R. 493A (40 H) (SL 42 12-7-23). J.H., D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} EXPERIMENTAL REPORT. Expl. No. 9771 REF: H.2/L.M.19.10-23. aluminium crankcase exceeding that of the pinion shaft. [Diagram of a shaft assembly with labels: FIBRE WASHER, BRONZE BUSH, ADJUSTING WASHER] A slight oil leak takes place at the oil level indicator. OIL CONSUMPTION. During the endurance test the approximate oil consumption was :- 2 pts./hr. at 2000 r.p.m. 3 pts./hr. at 2500 r.p.m. EXHAUST MANIFOLD. The sliding gland becomes solid after much hard running. More clearance or a split inner flange should cure this. The present pipe has contracted and now does not properly register with exhaust ports. | ||
