Dear Mr.Robotham,

I am sorry not to have replied to your letter of the 5th Inst. before, but I have scarcely had a minute to attend to anything.

We have turned out many thousands of carburetters with zinc base bodies, and generally speaking these have given satisfactory results. There is, however, no getting away from the fact that they are more apt to distort than the majority of suitable metals, specially when there is a high under-bonnet temperature. Apart from the question of the material in the body, I do not know of any other reason why the carburetter should be worse than the original ones supplied.

Yours sincerely,
