328. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry{Shadwell Grylls}9/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 11th March, 1937. F.O. Hickling, Esq., Messrs. Ransome & Marles Bearing Co.,Ltd., NEWARK-on-TRENT. Dear Hickling, Many thanks for your letter. I hope you will be able to come over and see us before you retire into seclusion. I should like to have a talk with you about the gearbox ball bearing arrangements before we put in hand any parts. As regards your Firm's disinclination to supply us with any more steering rollers, can you not persuade them that armament requirements are short-lived, whereas Rolls-Royce cars will go on being made for a very long time? Yours sincerely, | ||
